What is public?

Event names, locations, times, notes and host links appear on this site and in the app. Anyone can view and share them. Only publish information you have permission to share.

What do we store?

We store event details and reports on our server in Finland. No account, advertising cookies or analytics. Your browser stores edit keys locally so you can manage your own events. The server stores only a keyed hash of each edit key.

For spam protection, we keep keyed hashes of IP addresses in short-lived rate-limit records. Reports contain the text you submit and an IP hash to prevent duplicate reports. Infrastructure security logs may include your IP address. Private edit keys are sent in authorization headers, not public URLs or page requests.

Removal and retention

Your private edit link lets you cancel an event and remove its public text. A cancellation notice stays at its URL so existing links and app favorites can show that it is no longer happening. Copies already shared or saved by others cannot be recalled. Daily database backups are retained for 14 days.

Contact and reports

For abuse, lost edit links or data requests, contact teal@teal.is. You can also report an event from its page. Reports are reviewed manually; urgent concerns should be emailed. Don’t use this board for emergencies.
